Documenting thoughts through voice notes

01:44

Trying to record this journey more actively is not harder than I thought but just hard, especially if you need to put down every single thought. I have no idea how so many people who kind of build in public do it and put down every single thought down, but hopefully by the end of this I will figure it out.

So I'm in my car right now trying to record this voice note and I wanted to share a little bit about the reason why I wanted to document this through voice. As I've been using AI and voice apps have gotten better at transcribing, I've realized that it's one area, one interaction, that allows you to really express the way you really think. Even when you're typing, you can edit it or refine it, and that's really good. But when you are talking, it is in some way the purest part of your thought, especially me who tends to kind of just speak almost the second after I think, or millisecond after I think.

So I'm hoping that one of the things that will happen at the end of this is that I'll get a lot clearer about my thinking. I'll pause when it's necessary. And I'll also be succinct, because I would have given myself some time to digest the thought, synthesize it and convey it to everybody. So that's really kind of the reason why I wanted to do voice notes. More coming soon.
